Humanitarian and Compassionate Application
An application to the IRCC seeking special permission to become a permanent resident of Canada is known as a Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) application. When you are ineligible for other immigration schemes, you may submit an H&C application. Usually, an H&C is a final effort to stay in Canada.
You must demonstrate in an H&C application that you have compelling reasons for being permitted to remain in Canada. Applications for H&C often include information about your family's ties to Canada and how leaving the country will impact your children. They may also explain why you would face hardships—that is, extremely trying conditions—should you be forced to return to your home country.
You should see a lawyer to get independent legal advice for your application because the H&C application is a very complicated matter. For additional legal assistance, please contact Sunwood Law.
